(Sponsored Review) Sensitive skin no more with Hada Labo ES range

Hello everyone!! Hope you are coping fine with the haze! So glad that the haze has cleared up a lot today and i can see the blue skies.. However, the PM2.5 reading still high despite the clear blue sky so do try to use a mask whenever you head outdoors! 🙂

Don’t know about you but my skin has been really sensitive nowadays.. Perhaps it has to do with the haze, increased pollutant and hotter weather, hence my skin is red, itchy and skin irritated!!

Hence, i have to be more selective in my skincare products and incorporate those that do not contain ingredients that can cause irritation to the skin. Better to be safe than sorry, i must steer clear of products that contains alcohol, fragrance, colorant, mineral oil and preservatives!

Searched through my stash of skincare products collection and I’ve decided to use this lotion that Hada Labo has sent me for review few weeks back..

Staying true to its Perfect X Simple philosophy, Hada Labo has carefully put together a remarkable series specially catered to those with sensitive skin –  Hada Labo ES range! Hada Labo es series is also pH balanced, anti-allergy and non-stinging to allow skin to enjoy the gentlest care.

In case you are not familiar with this brand, Hada Labo products is produced by Rohto Pharmaceuticals in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, under strict Goods Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Therefore, superior product quality, reliability and effectiveness are guaranteed. Hada Labo skincare philosophy is “PERFECT X SIMPLE” as inspired by traditional Japanese beauty wisdom.. During the formulation of the products, a “No More No Less” philosophy is adopted…  This means that unnecessary additives such as colorant, fragrance and mineral oil that will burden the skin are omitted. Only the best, beneficial and essential ingredients are added to ensure maximum effectiveness that’s best for the skin.

The ES range is not just formulated using 5 additive-free ingredients but it also contains Hada Labo’s signature ingredient – Hyaluronic Acid! Furthermore, the ES products are enhanced with Zinc which functions in three ways: penetrate, hydrate and repair.

1) It contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid (normal, super, nano) to completely hydrate all 3 layers of skin for superior softness. The Brand’s signature ingredient – Nano Hyaluronic Acid has fine molecules and will able to penetrate deep into the inner layers of stratum corneum for deep hydration and to retain moisture in the skin. Overtime, skin will become remarkably smooth, soft and supple.

2) Zinc has restorative properties to control and soothe skin inflammation as well as reduce skin irritations. Hence, skin’s health will improve as Zinc nourishes, condition and protects the sensitive skin from the harsh environment.

Hada Labo ES range consists of the following products which is specially designed for hydrating and nourishing sensitive skin:

1) ES Cleansing Foam Wash (160ml)

With a light and foamy texture, it gently cleanses the skin while restoring the skin’s moisture at the same time.

2) ES Lotion (170ml)

This lotion will instantly replenishes and locks-in skin’s natural moisture.  Great for dry and dehydrated skin,  skin will feel significantly softer and more supple upon application.

3) ES Milk (140ml)

Lightweight and soft moisturizer with a non-sticky feel.

4) ES Cream (50g)

Soft and has a richer texture as compared to the Milk, it gives a longer lasting deep hydration without stickiness.

Will be reviewing the ES Lotion (170ml) in this post.. 🙂

– It contains Nano Zinc Hyaluronic Acid to effectively moisturize skin and keep skin healthy.
– Instantly replenishes and lock in moisture for complete hydration
– Improves dry and dehydrated skin, leaving skin soft and supple

For those that are interested in the ingredients list, here you go..

Personally, i will use this lotion after toner so that remaining residue on my face can be removed thoroughly before applying the ES lotion.. I will pour 3-4 drops on palms, warm it using my palms and gently pat until thoroughly absorbed. After which, i will apply my serum and moisturizer.

Texture wise, it feels like the SHA Lotion – Fragrance free, Alcohol free, watery, light weighted and gets absorbed into my skin really fast without stickiness. After application, it doesn’t weight my skin down and it does not cause my sensitive skin turn reddish after application.. Once it gets absorbed, my skin feels really refreshed, soft and smooth to the touch..

Because i love the benefits of the ES Lotion so much, I’m using it to create my own DIY mask to intensely hydrates my skin after exfoliating. Just pour few drops of ES lotion into a clean container and put in a compressed mask (You can purchase it from SASA).. Once it gets absorbed with the ES lotion, fit the mask onto your face and leave it on for 15 mins (There’s no need to rinse your skin after application).

Since the lotion is as gentle as water, it doesn’t sting when my mask.. After removing the mask, skin feels hydrated and looks calmer (with reduced redness / tightness).. As texture that is light, it does not leave any non-sticky film behind..

Overall after incorporating this product in my skincare routine, i have observed that my skin is less irritated with reduced redness and itchiness. Yay!

Will highly recommend the ES range if you have sensitive skin and dehydrated (like moi!) and will like to nourishes, condition and protects it from the harsh environment.

The Hada Labo ES Series is available exclusively at Guardian pharmacies nationwide and you can check out Hada Labo’s FB page for more products update! 🙂
