My Daily Skin care Routine

If only we can make a joke out of it… But we can’t..
No matter if you are bubbly, optimistic or humorous as a person
You’ll tend to lose your smile if your skin is plagued with acne.
Don’t you agree?

I’m not an exception as well so i’m always on the search of a solution which will kill the root cause.
I think i have found it!
I’m currently on medication which greatly improves my skin condition.
It’s about 5 months into my treatment and i’m proud to say that there is no more acne and clogged pores on my skin.
Only leftover signs will be the ugly acne marks on my skin..
Eventually it’ll fade away but i’ll accelerate it by doing chemical peels once the doctor gives me the green light..
Meanwhile i can only conceal it…It’s a vast improvement and even during facial there’s no sight of clogged pores detected…
In addition to the medication, skincare products will be important to prevent outbreak on the outside.

I shall do a small review on the products that i am using currently.
As for the medication, i will review it once i’m done with the entire treatment.

1) Hada Labo AHA/BHA Exfoliating Fash Wash

(Day & Night)

If you are someone who loves foamy facial wash (like me), then this product is for you. Actually got this cleaner as i need one urgently because i ran out of it ( my previous cleaner has to be ordered online) Decided to give it a try as June raved about it and since it is only $12.90, why not?

Love the fact that my skin will be left squeaky clean after using it. I’m not kidding you as my skin really feels so smooth. Like its name has suggested, it exfoliate your dead skin to reveal a smoother and heather looking skin. There is no tight sensation after cleaning so i can conclude that this product is gentle to be used on a daily basis.

But if you have very dry skin concern, i will recommend that you alternate it with another cleanser.
I’m currently on my 2nd tube and i’m still loving it so far.

Dr Jart + Most Moist Water-Act Skin Mist (Sponsored)

(Day & Night)

Remember that i did a review for this toner? Check it out HERE!

Already finished 3/4 and i’m still pretty pleased with the product.. It doesn’t contains alcohol so it won’t sting my face.
Love the refreshing sensation and how the product remove the remaining impurities on my skin. Beside using it as a mist, you can choose to spray it on a cotton pad and use it like a toner like what i’m doing.

Will certainly repurchase this when it runs out.

VICCAL’s SERUM (Sponsored)

(Day & Night)

After prepping my cleansed skin with a toner, i’ll apply serum next. Serum is important and it much depends on your skin concerns. Serum comes in many forms, shape and sizes (for example: Vitamin C serum, skin brightening, anti aging and acne prevention etc). You might be thinking, i’m using a moisturizer so why bother to use a serum?

Did you know that it will further enhance the effectiveness of your skin-care regimen and also accelerate results? As the molecular structure for serums are smaller, this will allow easier penetration of ingredients into the lipid barrier of the skin. End result? Serums will help ‘deliver’ all the nutrients in a concentrated form, deep into the skin.

Check out my review here and i will use Viccal’s No 1.10 during the day.

At night, i will be using Viccal’s No 2.11 and review here.

Derma-R Comedone Formula

(once a day on T-zone)

Next, additional serum for my T-zone area! As you know my nose is often full of blackheads and doctor told me that this actually helps to soften, remove and prevents blackheads. As usual, i was quite skeptical to get it as it is quite costly ($69 for 25ml if i never remember wrongly). But i’m glad that i have invested in this wonderful product.

This serum has a strong herbal scent which is runny and it feels slightly sticky when you applied it on. But after spreading and patting in into the skin, the sticky after-feel will disappear. One thing which i really dislike will be the design of the bottle.. Since it is so runny (Watery), the pump will actually dispense too much of the serum and leads to wastage. As it is made of botanical extracts, it won’t irritate or inflame your skin.

After 2 weeks application, my blackheads (which are there for ages) literally ‘dropped’ out. It actually reduces the appearance of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) over time so it is hard to find fault with my nose now..

Paula’s Choice Hydralight Moisture‑Infusing Lotion

(Once at Night)

Even if you are having oily skin, you should not skip moisturizer as keeping the skin hydrated is the key here. If your skin is not hydrated enough, the more oil it produces and the cycle goes round and round.

But under the doctor’s instruction, i’m not allowed to use any but i don’t feel comfortable with the idea. Ordered this moisturizer previously as i heard raves about it. But one thing which i really hate is the smell as the funny sour odor turns me off big time. Basically i have to HOLD my breathe till i’m done with the application and it’s really pure torture.. LOL!

But other than that, this moisturizer is light and yet hydrates well. Moisturizer looks creamy but it’s actually gel-based which is easy to absorb. It is light-weighted and leaves my skin feeling smooth with a Matte finish.

I don’t think i will repeat this purchase because of the smell and i will still prefer my Vichy Hydrator. 🙂

VICHY UV Pro Secure SPF 50 (Sponsored)

(Applied during the day)

This is the best sun-block which i have came across and even Wendy also loves it when i introduced it to her. Selling at $48 for 30ml but a little goes a long way and effect is justifiable for the price tag.

In Singapore, it is always HOT and humid so a good sun-block that is non-sticky is needed to block the harmful rays.

What i love about this sun-block is that it provides high protection against UV rays and also anti-pollution against environmental stressors. Texture wise, it is a little of the creamy side which spreads easy. It doesn’t leave a white cast and it is non-greasy. There is also no unpleasant sun-block smell as well and it doesn’t clog my pores. You can follow up with a make-up base and start painting your face after this last step. 🙂

It is so good that i have the tinted version which also acts as my make up base. Hehe!

Thanks for taking time to read my post and have a nice weekend ahead!

♥♥♥♥ MY VERDICT♥♥♥♥

Its attractive red bottle which is spill-free and allows easy dispersal is screaming USE ME!

Initially, I was skeptical about using anti-aging products as it might be too rich for my acne prone skin.
Been using this toner for the past 3 days and so far there’s no outbreaks.

As you can see in the photo, this texture is a little on the sticky side and it leaves behind a sticky film. You need to wait a while for the sticky film to disappear before you can slap on your next skin care product.

As i takes a longer time to be absorbed into the skin, it might leave you a little uncomfortable. Therefore, i prefer to pour a few drops of the toner onto a cotton pad and slide it across my skin. In this way, the level of stickiness will be minimized. 🙂

No sign of peeling and make-up goes on smooth which means skin is moisturized!

Will rate this toner 7/10 (minus 3 for the sticky factor)

With Habo Labo Lifting & Firming Range, i don’t have to try so hard to stay youthful!
